A new 6-stop Positive Organ with bamboo pipes is now being planned on our
drawing board. Its future owner, pipe organ music lover, Mr. Cecilio
K. Pedro has recently commissioned the construction of the second Bamboo
Organ in the country after the 200 years old Bamboo Organ of Las Pinas.
He has given us his full trust in this project since we have been servicing
the famous Bamboo Organ for more than 15 years.
Mr. Pedro is the President and CEO of multi awarded
Lamoiyan Corporation,
makers of Hapee Toothpaste and Dazz Dishwashing Paste - both leading
products in their own respective fields. He owns one of our first
instrument, Opus 2 which is the Positive Box Organ with 4 stops built in
1995. A second pipe organ with 10 stops has just been installed in the
Auditorium of Lamoiyan Corporation.
It is fitted with MIDI system with a Sequencer (Record and Playback possibility) which
will be used to encourage young school children that frequents his
factory to appreciate the pipe organ.
The 6-stop Bamboo Organ is his third instrument from our company and we
greatly acknowledge his ideals of supporting Filipino companies like ours
and his desire to encourage pipe organ music to young children.

To promote Pipe Organ Music in the Philippines, Diego Cera Organbuilders,
Inc. has created a recording label called "Diego Cera Records". Its
sole mission is to produce Audio CDs with Pipe Organ Music from the
Philippines. It is our own contribution to the preservation of
historic pipe organs of the country and consequently its revival in our
liturgical music.
The first production is "Organ Music from the Manila Cathedral".
Organist Alejandro Consolacion II brilliantly rendered his interpretation of
music from Dubois, Boellmann as well as as his own compositions on the newly
restored pipe organ of the Cathedral-Basilica of Manila. The organ is
considered the biggest pipe organ in South East Asia with 70 stops on 4
manuals.
The CD is available at Diego Cera Organbuilders, Bamboo Organ Souvenir Shop
and at the Manila Cathedral Office. The price is P350.00.

The second phase which is the full rehabilitation of the existing pipe organ
and its combination with the new Johannus Rembrandt console has been
completed in January 2008. A new casework was constructed in
Neo-Gothic design to protect the pipes and give a good resonance body to the
instrument where the digital and real stops can mix better.
The Hybrid organ with the Johannus Rembrandt 397
console has a total of 63 stops.

With our desire
to make Pipe Organ Music more accessible and more affordable to the
Filipino, we have partnered with the number 1 maker of Digital Organ
Console, Johannus Orgelbouw of Holland for our Pipe-Digital Hybrid Organs.
Through this cooperation, we hope to revive pipe organ music back to our
churches which has been dominated by electronic keyboard for the last 30
years.
Through the
INTONAT software provided by the Johannus, control of digital stops is quite
like voicing real pipes. It is possible to adjust various levels of
each key on each digital stop making it perfect for hybrid organs.
